The London Summer Event Team are excited to announce that Drapers’ Hall (one of our 2016 exhibitors’) were featured on BBC2’s ‘Great British Menu’, last Friday 9th October.
Built in 1534 as the palace of Thomas Cromwell Earl of Essex, Drapers’ Hall is an exclusive banqueting and events venue in Central London. Steeped in history and home to many outstanding works of art it makes a beautiful setting for a wide variety of private functions, weddings and corporate events. Their private outdoor garden and courtyard also make it ideal for summer parties!
The venue played host to part of the finale of ‘Great British Menu’, where after months of hard work, four chefs battled it out to deliver their dishes to the ladies of the Women’s Institute.
Louisa Stirling, Head of Events at Drapers’ Hall commented, “We felt very honoured to host this wonderful event and were delighted to welcome the Women’s Institute back to Drapers’ Hall, ninety-one years after they held their National Craft Exhibition here in 1924, we feel we were a fitting location for this banquet.”
Other iconic venues to host the finale include The Mansion House, St Paul’s Cathedral and The Royal Albert Hall.
Well done Drapers’ Hall , that is an impressive list to be associated with. Apply to attend the London Summer Event show this January and be given the opportunity to meet with venue specialists from this beautiful venue.
