Mention summer party and the usual go to is an alfresco drinks reception or garden party barbeque. There’s so much more as London Venue Middle Temple has discovered.
A hidden gem close to Embankment, Middle Temple’s award-winning secluded garden has taken on a life of its own for summer events with bookings up by 21% (spanning May- July 2015) compared to 2014 figures of the same period.
Lorraine Thorne, sales and marketing manager, Middle Temple said: “The garden offers a stunning canvas to work with. Event planners are utilising the garden entirely or as a curtain raiser to their event, before moving to the interior venue spaces. We have seen a big shift from conventional garden parties with enquiries coming in for themed options to radically transform the outdoor space from mini festivals to seaside and American 4th July inspired.”
Middle Temple has hosted events for clients including fashion brand Pringle, NSPCC, Wedgwood Britain and Standard Chartered Bank. New clients hosting events in the garden include global law firm Linklaters, charity Place2be and the Institute of Civil Engineers. The possibilities for summer events are curbed only by imagination and the secluded location of the garden adds to the appeal.
