Record visitor numbers for the London Summer Event Show 2016

Summer came to the city last week, when the London Summer Event Show took place from 19th to 20th January at Merchant Taylors’ Hall.

The fourth show in Story Events’ targeted exhibition series for event buyers (that also includes winter themed, London Christmas Party Show) welcomed a record 749 qualified visitors over its 2-day run.

Show Director, Dominique Gill comments, “We pride ourselves on quality over quantity and reject almost as many applications as we accept, so are ecstatic that this year saw our largest amount of qualified corporates attend the show.”

In total 509 qualified corporate buyers attended the event from a range of corporate industries including media companies, banks and law firms. Some top names on the attendee list included, Apple, Shell, Deloitte, Microsoft, Pfizer and Deutsche Bank to name a few. The event also saw 240 event agents in attendance, there to meet and build relationships with the suppliers on offer.

Visitor Ele Mather from event agency, Brandrapport found that, “It was good to go to a show which just had industry specialists, some of these shows end up over crowded with anyone and everyone and it was nice that this one felt so exclusive”

The events came about due to a need in the industry for a more intimate and  targeted platform for event professionals to meet face to face.

Exhibitor, Paul Banham, Head of Business Development at WildGoose comments, “It is a smaller show, more concentrated and the audience is much more targeted meaning you get a better result.”

The next event in the series is the London Christmas Party Show which will take place at 8 Northumberland Avenue in London’s West End from 4-5 May. Applications to exhibit are currently being accepted.
