NIKKITA PALMER DESIGN

EVENT OFFERING

At our workshop and studio in the Northamptonshire countryside we make reclaimed furniture and homewares, which, as well as selling online, we also hire to weddings, events and parties accross the UK. With my passion for sourcing, foraging and finding treasure where ever my eyes rest, we have a wide collection of unusual vintage, retro and unusual props and we are passionate about making amazing events with both these and our handmade furniture.

BACKGROUND

Ever since I was a child all I've wanted to do is create. From a young age I was brought up on car boot sales, auctions and up cycling (before it was fashionable) and this really did shape who I was and what my passions were later in life. Throughout my educational years I had a strong passion for all of my creative courses which led to me starting my own business shortly after finishing university.

FUTURE ASPIRATIONS

We've made a lot of bespoke furniture over the past 5 years, but 2021 has seen our event hire range overtake our sales side and I have to say, as a team, we absolutely LOVE making events look amazing! We would love to expand this to more festivals, live events and parties, over the coming years.

SELFIEBOT

BACKGROUND

I was looking for a fun side hustle and I knew how brilliant photobooths are at an event, but I felt like the traditional photobooth hadn't evolved. So I set out to research if there were enhanced photobooths out there in the world, something a bit more engaging. There was! Selfiebot was born in Sydney Australia and hitting the Sydney scene by storm, I made contact with across the pond and made it my mission to bring Selfiebot to the UK and unleash it onto the UK Event circuit!

FUTURE ASPIRATIONS

I'd love the side hustle to be my main hustle, I love seeing the impact Selfiebot has at an event. So much curiosity and memorable moments. I want to see Selfiebot booked out every week and that investment will help me upgrade his functions making sure we continue to keep ahead of the game!

GASTRONOMY GUYS

EVENT OFFERING

We offer both off-the-shelf food and drink experiences (called rigs) and completely bespoke creations for events. From nitrogen desserts to 'dragons breath' meringues, cocktail trikes to self-serve walkthrough cocktail experiences. We can brand and theme all of our rigs or create something completely bespoke and bonkers!

BACKGROUND

I have worked in the events and hospitality industry for nearly 18 years. I started with a business called Oyster Boys (which I still run), before launching a restaurant called Mussel Men in Dalston. Gastronomy Guys was born out of my passion for food and I've always been experimenting with the weird and wacky in the kitchen - I wanted to bring these amazing food and drink creations to the world of events.

FUTURE ASPIRATIONS

We want to be the go-to supplier for all event food and drink experiences and enhancements. We want to keep creating the weird and wacky and offering clients the latest technology and ideas from the gastronomy and cocktail worlds.

AISLING ERIN DESIGN

EVENT OFFERING

I offer bespoke stationery, individually created for each event, meaning that each design is unique to each client. From menus to place cards, table plans and invitations, I can offer a wide range of stationery services.

BACKGROUND

For as long as I can remember I’ve had a huge passion for handmade and bespoke stationery. Having worked as an events manager for a large West End theatre group for the best part of 8 years, I’ve seen how the events industry has developed over the years; now more than ever there is a real emphasis on unique and handcrafted elements to the vast majority of events. This, combined with my love of calligraphy and a handwritten note to someone, is how Aisling Erin Design (finally!) came about.

FUTURE ASPIRATIONS

Growing in to a studio space (I’m currently working from my kitchen table!) would be a dream come true. I’d also love to continue working with gorgeous brands who are the hosts of the events that I’m currently working on. The people that I’ve met so far have been wonderful!

MAGICMAN LONDON

EVENT OFFERING

I provide close-up magic for a wide range of events from small parties to large corporate events, weddings, dinner parties, basically any event where you want your guests to remember your event, long after it has finished.

BACKGROUND

I fell in love with magic when I was around 6 years old when my dad showed me a magic trick. I have loved it ever since and am grateful its now my job.

FUTURE ASPIRATIONS

I would love to travel the world showing people my magic and to have my own tv show!

JUST TALENT

We supply all types of entertainment for events. So everything from DJ's, Bands, Musicians, Dancers, Magicians, Circus Acts, Fire Acts, Glitter/Makeup/Facepainters, comperes...etc etc...you name it we have it!

BACKGROUND

I started my career as a dancer then people would ask me to provide them with dancers for events if i wasn't free, then as time went on I started supplying all types of entertainment, then around 5 years ago i bit the bullet and left my full time job to do it full time.

FUTURE ASPIRATIONS

We would like to grow the team and be supplying to multiple events, events agencies and brands all over the UK and fingers crossed worldwide too.

DIVERSITY ALLY

EVENT OFFERING

We provide bespoke workshops, DEI consultancy and offer strategic support by assessing and identifying D&I challenges and developing meaningful diversity and inclusion specific metrics, delivered with insights and recommendations. We also have created industry initiatives such as the Diversity In Events Awards (April 2022) and The People & Culture show (2022) to further the mission for a diverse, equitable, inclusive and accessible industry.

BACKGROUND

Until Diversity Ally was formed, there wasn’t an organisation taking ownership of the events industry’s approach to tackling its lack of diversity and inclusion. So two events professionals, with a background in D&I from their previous careers, set about changing that through education, support and initiatives to drive diversity through events.

FUTURE ASPIRATIONS

To be a Global operation that supports DEI in the events industry. With successful events that continue drive diversity, equity and inclusion through events.

LONDON BASQUE KITCHEN

EVENT OFFERING

We use seasonal, top quality and exciting ingredients from some of the UK and Spain's best producers. From a fun tapas dinner, a Basque inspired seafood extravaganza, a seasonal British lunch, a high end canapé reception, an informal sharing Italian banquet or a Middle Eastern feast to a colourful and generous Indian buffet, we design inspiring menus for your particular special occasion.

BACKGROUND

I wanted to bring the flavours of Northern Spain and the Basque region into bespoke events in the UK. We design bespoke menus with Spanish inspired dishes but also inspired by my travels worldwide and my love for exciting and seasonal ingredients.

FUTURE ASPIRATIONS

I want to be one of the "to go" caterers for modern and creative Basque and Spanish food in London.

EVENTWELL

EVENT OFFERING

We work with event businesses and employers offering workplace wellbeing programmes and mental health support. Our newest product and service is mental health hubs and quiet rooms at events, that offer a quiet and relaxing space where people can go to whilst attending an event to do whatever they need to do to look after their mental wellbeing or neurodivergent needs. Whether that is taking a five minute rest and break, to talking to a qualified and fully trained mental health first aider.

BACKGROUND

EventWell as a social enterprise was launched and incorporated following the first event wellbeing week that was held in September 2017 (#EventWell17). We have held event wellbeing day and week every year since and officially started trading as a social enterprise in May of 2019.

FUTURE ASPIRATIONS

Our future aspirations are to be the go to organisation for onsite mental health support at events, it is also our aim for there to be a mental health hub and quiet room at every event by 2030, with 50% of our profits going to support event professionals in need to prevent mental health crisis.

Following extensive research with industry leaders, we know there is huge demand for this tool. Especially in today's market where we are entering an era of uncertainty and desire to buy and sell late availability is at a peak. This tool will be extremely valuable to all users.

OLD DIRTY BRASSTARDS

Old Dirty Brasstards continuously strives to develop its sound and creative strategies. We offer high end and imaginative versions of popular music that speak to a broad demographic in a multitude of environments. Every show feels immersive as lines between the stage and audience are broken down when the crowd provide the lyrics to our reworked brassy arrangements.

BACKGROUND

Old Dirty Brasstards are a 10-piece brass band that was formed when two friends met at music college. They studied orchestral music but bonded over their love for pop, rock and indie so decided to set up something quite different!

FUTURE ASPIRATIONS

We aspire to continue providing and preserving a significant contribution to culture in England. We supply an invaluable artistic export that is heavily based on Britain's heritage - the brass band! We hope to continually support our freelance workforce with dynamic performance opportunities.
